  51. The various options perform ioctls on the FDDI driver.

  54. The \fBreset\fP and \fBhalt\fP options control the adapter's connection to the
  55. ring. The \fBreset\fP option resets the adapter, connecting it back to
  56. the ring.  The \fBhalt\fP option halts the adapter, disconnecting it
  57. from the ring.

  60. The \fBflush\fP option flushes the driver's transmit queue.

  63. The \fBaddr\fP option prints out the adapter's network address in the standard
  64. aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff form.

  69. how the adapter works.

  73. the number of packets and bytes sent and received.  Then comes an
  74. array of receive reaped numbers.  Each array slot denotes a number of
  75. received packets, and the value in that slot is the number of
  76. times that the driver reaped that number of packets in one interrupt.
  77. Following this is an array counting packet sizes, both sent and received.

  80. The \fBecho\fP, \fBsize\fP, and \fBrepeat\fP options let hosts
  81. be pinged over FDDI.  The argument to \fBehco\fP is the Sprite ID
  82. of a host to ping.  The argument to \fBsize\fP controls the size
  83. of the RPC to ping with.  And \fBrepeat\fP controls the number of
  84. times the host is echoed.  Timing numbers are reported when the
  85. echoes finish.

  88. The \fBreg\fP and \fBerrlog\fP options print out some of the adapter's
  89. internal state.  \fBreg\fP prints out the contents of the adapter's
  90. registers.  \fBerrlog\fP prints out the internal and external
  91. error codes written by the adapter when it halts.  These codes should be
  92. zero during normal operation.

  96. be printed on the syslog or on the terminal that invoked \fBfddicmd\fP.
